President Callahan sets bold vision for the future

As many universities across the country face enrollment and financial challenges, 色虎视频 is celebrating its strongest five-year period in the institution鈥檚 174-year history.

Pacific President Christopher Callahan shared insights on the university鈥檚 growth and set the stage for even greater impact ahead during his annual State of the University address to faculty and staff.

The president, who completed his fifth year in the role, credited faculty and staff with driving institutional change while maintaining Pacific鈥檚 value and commitment to serving students.

The university鈥檚 efforts have yielded results. Pacific earned its highest-ever ranking from , breaking into Top 100 at No. 87. The university also ranked No. 23 for economic diversity on the New York Times interactive database and No. 36 for social mobility from U.S. News & World Report.

Pacific鈥檚 strategic expansions included newly launched academic programs designed to meet market demand, helping to attract new students. The previous year also achieved record highs in new student enrollment, fundraising and in government grants won.

Looking ahead, Pacific is preparing for a new wave of expansion, including the opening of an ambulatory surgical center in San Francisco, the launch of the Jie Du Inn, the new Southwest residence hall and additional academic and athletic programs.

As Pacific looks forward to its 175th anniversary in 2026, Callahan emphasized a continued commitment to student-centered excellence, innovation, diversity and community engagement.

鈥淲e鈥檙e here for a very specific reason: for our students, to provide this sort of life-changing education. That鈥檚 how we have succeeded over the past five years, and that will be our formula to success for the next five years,鈥 Callahan said.
