Students serve, celebrate and connect during Week of Welcome

Hundreds of new and returning students from more than 30 states and nearly 25 countries participated in a variety of events leading up to the new academic year—from the traditional New Student Convocation and Tiger Roar to the Tiger Fair and a lively community block party.
Pacific restructured its move-in and orientation process over the past four years to help new students connect with campus support services, build relationships with faculty and peers and connect with the Stockton community. Staff, faculty and alumni participate in the week-long activities designed to support students’ transition to college.
Week of Welcome by the numbers:
- More than 1,800 new and returning students moved into on-campus housing.
- Over 800 students attended orientation events.
- More than 400 students, faculty and staff volunteered at 16 local nonprofits during Pacific’s Day of Service—boxing food, pulling weeds, painting benches and more—as part of the university’s value to serve the community.
- More than 700 students sang karaoke, played games and learned about Pacific clubs and resources at Tiger Fair
- An estimated 3-4,000 Pacific and Stockton community members shopped and dined at the Miracle Mile shopping district for the annual Tigers Prowlin’ the Mile community party.
- Nearly 1,000 students attended the ASUOP block party and concert.
